The work includes but is not limited to: tunneling, civil, structural, mechanical, electrical and associated environmental and other work, for the construction of two deep vertical shafts, a 2.3 km long tunnel, installation of a welded steel water main pipe in the tunnel and shafts, construction of valve chambers, and installation of surface piping (the “Work”).Work also includes functional testing and commissioning support of the constructed facilities. The Proponent is referred to Section 01 11 00 – Summary of Work for an expanded summary of the Work, and the project (the “Project”). |

Meeting Locations
The following are the meeting times and locations for the bid:
South Shaft Site (11477 River Road, Surrey), North Shaft Site (1035 Quebec Street New Westminster) | There will be a pre-Proposal meeting (Virtual) on April 27, 2021, at 9:00 a.m. followed by a site meeting at the South Shaft Site (11477 River Road, Surrey) at 1:30 p.m. and North Shaft Site (1035 Quebec Street New Westminster) at 2:30 p.m. Please see 00 41 07 – Intention to Attend Proponents’ Meeting and in particular, Authorized Guests to Metro Vancouver (including Contractors) Form. A zoom invite will be send out to the pre-qualified Proponents a week prior to the pre-Proposal meeting. In addition, a “Core Sample” viewing will be conducted on May 3rd , 2021, at 10:00 a.m., and the group will meet at the parking lot adjacent to Rice Lake Gate (4400 Lillooet Road, North Vancouver) prior going to the core storage facility. All persons in attendance must bring their own personal protection equipment (i.e. steel toe footwear, safety eyeglasses, hard hat, high visibility vest, etc.).
